The Uncommon Power of Kindness

Kindness is a rare virtue nowadays.

It seems like the fast pace and self-centered lifestyle that permeate our society have overshadowed this critical virtue.

May this serve as a reminder that:

  • Kindness connects us as human beings.

Human beings flourish when we live with our hearts open. It’s when we are able to stand in each other’s sufferings that we can bear each other’s joys.

  • Kindness is fundamental to creating wholesome communities.

Communities are cultivated when we extend goodness to each other. Helping another person at your own personal cost creates an eternal link between you and them.

  • Kindness creates a ripple effect.

One kind deed can change someone’s day. A thousand kind deeds can change someone’s life, and a million kind deeds can change the world.

  • Kindness blesses the giver more than the receiver.

The quickest way to lift a low mood is to do something that’s good for someone else. Life always rewards the giver with great delight.

  • Kindness is a bridge builder.

Kindness is an open invitation to those who may not look like us, believe like us, or behave like us. We build bridges with blocks of kindness and we intertwine our experiences and ways of life with each other.

Concluding, kindness allows us to step into someone else’s world and offer the gift of being seen, cared for, and valued. It is the golden thread that links us together.
